Mi-Kin Creations is a team of craftsmen located in Georgia who care deeply about making high-quality, durable and innovative millwork, cabinets and fine furniture to our customers. Mi-Kin wasn’t always this big. Mi-Kin was born over 15 years into a family business. Mi-Kin stands for Michael “Kin Folk”. Greg’s two sons Gregory and Jonathan have ownership in the business and are craftsmen in their own right.

Now, over 10 years later, Mi-Kin employs over 20 craftsmen working around the clock to provide for their clients. Serving families and businesses in all 50 states, Mi-Kin has become a well-known brand for quality and craftsmanship.

Meet the Mi-Kin Team

Greg Michael Sr. | CEO

Woodworking is in Greg’s blood. During WWll his father, Ellis H. Michael Sr., was the lead man in the production of a wooden bomber trainer aircraft for the US Army Air Corp. After the war, he started a home improvement business that did work throughout the Southeast. Greg’s brother Ellis H. Michael, Jr. started Mi-kin Creations in Tampa, Florida in 1967 and continued until his death in 2012. An artist at heart, Ellis combined his artistic talents with woodworking to produce some of the most unique creations seen in the Tampa Bay area.

Greg grew up in his brother’s shop. When he graduated from high school, he went to the University of South Florida and majored in Finance. After working in the corporate world and as an Executive Pastor at Woodstock Community Church in Woodstock, GA, Greg rediscovered his love for woodworking while building his own house. Soon after this, Mi-Kin Creations Inc. of Georgia was born. Mi-Kin Creations Inc is a family business. Mi-Kin stands for “Michael Kin Folk.” Greg’s two sons, Gregory Jr. and Jonathan, have ownership in the business and are craftsmen in their own right. Both Jonathan and Gregory spent their primary and teen years working in the shop, which started in the family’s basement. They have been a part of the business’s growth from beginning to end.

Johnathan Michael | VP of Production

Jonathan oversees operations for Mi-kin Creations Inc. After graduating from Cherokee High School, he attended Kennesaw State University and graduated with a Business Management degree. After a project is sold, and the initial drawings are completed, Jonathan oversees the project’s evolution from CAD, Computer Aided Design, to production. He works with a team that includes a CAD designer, estimator, and Shop Supervisor.

Gregory Michael | VP of Project Management

Gregory heads installations for Mi-Kin Creations Inc. After Graduating from Cherokee High School, he went to Georgia Highlands College and spent a year in Honduras helping teams build homes for needy families in La Ceiba, Honduras. He oversees our installation teams and collaborates with sales, operations, and most importantly our clients in order to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible regarding the installation process.

Toni Michael | Office Manager

Toni Michael joined the team in 2015. When the company moved into the industrial space in Kennesaw, it became clear that an office manager was needed. Toni transitioned from teaching High School english and composition, to working with her husband and sons at Mi-Kin Creations Inc. Her purview includes daily bookkeeping, human resources and working with accounts payable.

Words From Our

Happy Clients

It has been about 2 years since Greg and his team helped complete a massive renovation of our home. My wife, Tina, and I are still so incredibly grateful for all of the amazing work done by the Mi-Kin team. They are true rock stars when it comes to artistic design and super high quality construction, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them. Their work still looks brand new 2 years later (see pictures) and we continue to enjoy their work every day. Looking forward to working with Greg and his team again in the near future!

Every project we work on is built out of love for our craft and care for our customer. We work at focusing on our customer’s dreams and needs as we strive to match the form they desire with the functionality they need.

Cleanliness

Cleanliness is a core value. The last thing a customer needs is to be worried about dust and waste. We know that every project is different and that is why we have three tiers of site protection to fit the specific need for the specific project.

Competency & Professionalism

At Mi-kin Creations, we understand that having people in your home can be stressful. We expect everyone from sales, designers, production, to installers to treat our customers with integrity and respect and complete the project with efficiency and diligence.

Creativity

Wood, metal, and glass are the materials that underlie the art and craft of beautiful cabinetry, furniture, and exceptional millwork. Ellis Michael, the original founder of Mi-kin Creations in Tampa, Florida, was an artist at heart. He infused all of his designs with unique and creative features. Greg Michael Sr., President of Mi-Kin Creations Inc. has worked hard to maintain this artistic spirit. In working with clients, he combines the elements of art, craft, and functionality to fulfill their vision and desires.

Communication

At Mi-Kin Creations Inc. we are constantly striving to improve in the area of communication both internally and with our clients. We understand the importance of connecting with each other from the design process to the reveal of the finished project.
